how do I get a moon ?

HI, I have heard about moons, and seen some in the game, but how do I get one ?

basicly u hav 2 lose a lot of ress tht will b in ur debris flied the more ress the bigger chance of the debris flield forming a moon (max20%) chance and the more ress will also mak the moon bigger bt its all chance and u wont hav 2 wory about moons 4 a while...
i dnt even hav 1 in uni43 yet even tho i could afford a moonshot,,, a moonshot is whn som1 helps attack you wif a specific no. of ships so the df(debris flield) will b a 20% moonchance...

Even though there's a mathematical formula to getting a moon, it boils down to chance.
In ogame.us uni 1, I used 1667LF's to give me the maximum 20% moonchance, 8 times i tried plus 2 more at around 10% chance. Didn't have any luck.

The big advantage in a moon is that you can phalanx (spy) on other players planets, without them knowing or getting a message. You can thus know when a players fleet is returning & attack his planet 2 seconds after his fleet arrives, leaving him no chance to move his fleet or spend his res's.
A valuable part of the game later on.

By spying, he means you can see his fleet movements, not what is on his planet
